The magnets snap together firmly enough that my daughter's towers don't collapse when she bumps the table. We've been working through the six storybook scenes one at a time, and she keeps redoing the one with the buttons. Twelve cubes is plenty for two kids to share without fighting over pieces.
My son just turned four and these have become his go-to quiet-time toy. He rebuilds the six story scenes from the cards over and over, and the magnets snap together firmly enough that his towers don't collapse when he bumps them.
These magnetic cubes snap together way better than the wooden blocks we had before, and my daughter rebuilds the six story scenes over and over. The twelve pieces are chunky enough that even my three-year-old can pull them apart without help.
